We start September with the Terra de Trobadors (Land of the Troubadours) Festival
Terra de Trobadors is a medieval festival that has been held in the town of Castelló d'Empúries since 1990. The aim of the festival is to revive the period of medieval splendour when the town was the capital of the county of Empúries, with the utmost fidelity and historical rigour. It involves all the residents and organisations of the town. The programme includes troubadour music, jousting, a medieval folk market, music and theatre performances, lectures on medieval themes and exhibitions.
Each year under a different theme.
There are two areas that can be visited: the itinerary that starts at the Cortalet, or the Villaüt itinerary. Both routes will allow you to see a great diversity of fauna (its main interest lies in the richness of the ornithological fauna, especially migratory), as well as making numerous stops to contemplate the fabulous landscape. You can also visit the CARFA (Centro de Atención y Reproducción de Fauna Autóctona). It has a total of 15 observatories/aguaits.
